C. Mattes is the brush removal contractor for the Town of Cicero. The pickup schedule for 2008 begins April 1st and ends November 28th. Brush pickup WEST of South Bay Road begins on Monday of the first FULL week of the month. This area is picked up again during the 3rd week of the month. Pickups EAST of South Bay Road are the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month. Brush must be ready for pickup and curbside on Monday of the scheduled week in order to insure pickup that week. This includes weeks in which Monday is a holiday. Christmas trees will be picked up January 1st through January 30th, 2009.
There is no brush pickup the 5th weeks as follows: April 28, 2008, June 30, 2008, and September 29, 2008.
Leaves must be bagged in bio-degradable bags. No plastic bags will be accepted. No plastic trash cans will be accepted. No exceptions.
Trees may be up to 12" in diameter, and up to 6' in length. Butt ends must face the road.
Per our contract with the Town of Cicero, trees and brush removed by a contractor and placed curbside, regardless of size, is not our responsibility and will not be picked up.
HIRED CONTRACTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN DISPOSAL, AND OBTAINING A PERMIT FROM THE TOWN OF CICERO PRIOR TO PERFORMING ANY WORK.
